Stadium and Arena Projects
Portland Bolt manufactures anchor bolts, tie rod assemblies, and other custom fasteners for the construction of sporting venues throughout the country. For the projects listed below, Portland Bolt provided virtually all of the large anchor rods supporting the structural steel columns or rod assemblies for the roof structures, as well as other miscellaneous bolts.
Reliant Stadium – Houston, Texas
Between August of 2000 and January of 2001, Portland Bolt supplied almost 175,000 pounds of 2-1/2” diameter A354 grade BD rods measuring up to 25’ in length for the retractable roof on Reliant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Houston Texans.
Coors Field – Denver, Colorado
In 1993, Portland Bolt supplied large diameter anchor bolts to Havens Steel out of Kansas City, Missouri for the construction of Coors Field. Coors Field was the first new stadium in the National League since Montreal's Stade Olympique opened in 1977. It was the NL's first new park built exclusively for baseball since Dodger Stadium in 1962.
